Nicole Taillon completed courses in design and patina but took it upon herself to explore the art of sculpture. She has been exhibiting her bronze works in Quebec, the United States and Europe since 1980. She owns the Galerie Bistrot Carpe Diem in Magog and has won a number of awards, including the Cercle artistique des peintres et sculpteurs du Québec’s Premier Grand Prix in sculpture. Inspired by mythology and astrology, her colourful bronze sculptures vary in size, portraying human, animal or even hybrid forms. She has recently begun experimenting with adding jewelry to her vibrant pieces.
