Claude Sabourin has been participating in painting and sculpture exhibitions in Quebec, the United States, South America and Europe since the 1960s. In addition to curating the 1987 and 1991 Prague Quadriennales, he presented scenographic projects at both events. He is a former professor of scenography (décor, costumes, visual effects) at the Université du Québec à Montréal, where he arrived when the school first opened in 1969.
