ROY, Yves (1936)

Yves Roy holds a BA in architecture from the Université de Montréal. Over the course of his career, he has produced numerous designs for Montreal’s subway stations: these include Lionel-Groulx, where he also completed two large mural structures in stainless steel (1977). Now devoted exclusively to sculpture after forty years in the architectural field, he creates abstract works whose counterpoint of filled and empty space reflects an unequivocal mastery of spatial organization.
