Hélène Plourde holds a BFA from the Université du Québec à Montréal (1979). She has carried out several projects for the integration of art into architecture and exhibited her work throughout Quebec, creating generally triangular works that incorporate handmade paper and boxes of various sizes. Using techniques in collage and fragment accumulation, she explores the concepts of elevation and build-up to give shape to imaginary “mountains,” which are occasionally accompanied by natural elements.
