PELLETIER, Jacques (1947)

Jacques Pelletier holds a degree in childhood maladjustment from the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue. A self-taught sculptor since 1979, he has worked primarily in Abitibi, where he taught fine arts for thirty-five years. La famille (“the family”), unveiled in 2014 in the joint lobby of the Malartic museum and library, exemplifies the schematized figures portrayed in Pelletier’s bronze pieces.
