PEDNEAULT, Michel

Michel Pedneault is known primarily as a painter and as a member of P. D. G., a formerly active group that produced pictorial interventions and reached the height of its popularity during the 1970s and 1980s in Montreal. Made up of P(ednault, D(esautels) and G(audrault), the group created works as a trio and participated in happenings, including one at the Danceteria in New York with Armand Vaillancourt. In 1972, Pedneault was invited to complete a sculpture for the Symposium de sculpture held in Longueuil’s Parc Fernand-Bouffard (then Parc Duvernay) by the event’s commissioner, Claude-Paul Gauthier.
