After studying at Université Laval’s School of Visual Arts (1969-1971), Aline Martineau completed advanced training in etching (1972-1973) at the Centre Genevois de Gravure Contemporaine (now called the Atelier Genevois de Gravure) in Geneva. She has participated in projects for the integration of art into architecture program in Quebec City. She creates dramatic scenes in which the characters are small, contorted figures made of colourful and textured paper.
