Bozena Happach studied in Poland, where she attended the College of Fine Arts and the Gdansk Polytechnic University (Faculties of Architecture and Civil Engineering) and trained in the studio of Elzbieta Szczodrowska. In addition to sculptures for private collectors, she has completed murals for Montreal’s Château Ramezay museum and the Equilibrium International Education Institute in Calgary. She has also presented her work in a number of solo and group exhibitions and taken part in the following symposiums: L’autre monde and Duo in Laval (2009) and the Symposium de Sculpture de Boisbriand (2012). Featuring a juxtaposition of abstract and figurative imagery, Happach’s work seeks to uncover purity of form through the movement of people and animals, evoking a sense of awareness while illustrating the vast potential of human imagination.
