Marguerite de Montigny-Lafontaine studied in the United States and at the École des beaux-arts de Montréal in the 1920s. She worked in sculpture, drawing and painting, exhibiting her work at the Art Association of Montreal from 1928 to 1936 and at the Salon of the Royal Academy from 1924 to 1935.
