Born in Gaspésie, Marie-Josée Coulombe has participated in many group events, including the in situ art symposium organized by the Centre d’artistes Vaste et Vague in 1997; Symposium Voir longtemps, voir loin, organized by the Musée régional de Rimouski in 1996; and Déliers et traqués at La Chambre Blanche in 1994. She has also completed several works integrated into architecture, such as Les ciels inversés at the Centre des arts de la scène Jean-Besré in Sherbrooke. Comprised of twenty-nine steel disks raised off the ground by tubular rods, the installation is displayed in a landscape designed by the artist.
