Currently a professor at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), sculptor and ceramist Dominique Carreau holds a Bachelor’s degree in art education from UQAM and an MEd from the Université de Sherbrooke. She has completed a number of works for the integration of art into architecture, including at the Centre d’accueil Saint-Eusèbe. Another such project, entitled Les ailes du devenir, can be found at the town hall of Repentigny: comprising two large murals against a blue background, it features wings cast in stencil and ceramic. Carreau is also the founder of Atelier Côté Soleil, which opened in 1985, where she offers training for preschool and primary school art teachers and educators.
