BERGERON, Michèle (1949)

Michèle Bergeron received a Diploma in visual arts (1988) and a BFA (1993) from the Université du Québec à Montréal. Also in 1993, she participated in workshops at Joliette’s Ateliers Convertibles with Denis Lessard, Irene F. Whittome and Jean-François Pirson. The plaster and steel in Bergeron’s sculptures evoke the at once bony and muscular internal structures of the human body while also revealing their wide potential. She has also produced photomontages that incorporate a variety of materials.
