BÉLANGER, Fabien

Fabien Bélanger holds a BFA from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (1990) and an MFA from the Université du Québec à Montréal (1993). He has received several grants from the Ministère de la Culture du Québec and held numerous exhibitions, including Empreintes tectoniques at the Ianchelevici Museum in La Louvière, Belgium (1997); Objets de rangement at Galerie Horace, Sherbrooke (1999); and Case de jeux at the Centre d’exposition Art-image in Gatineau (2000). Bélanger favours in situ installations and often incorporates technological elements (motors, video cameras, motion detectors), resulting in interactive works that require viewer participation.
