Guy Beauregard began his professional career in 1974, sculpting clocks and African percussion instruments. He discovered snow sculpture in 1994, followed by sand sculpture in 1998, going on to win three world titles in the latter discipline while traveling in various countries. Having received more than fifty awards and participated in numerous large-scale events in snow, sand, wood and ice sculpture, Beauregard has acquired an international reputation. Through his unique and meticulous approach, the artist hopes to promote both the originality of ephemeral sculpture and the use of simple, natural materials such as cheese or pumpkins. He has presented workshops on snow and sand sculpture in Germany and Quebec, as well as for Parkinson Society Quebec. For the artist, creating sculptures is a way of spiritualizing matter.
